Our History
In 2013, Robert O. Walls and Darrin L. Orr founded Winning Experiences (WE), after immediately identifying with each other's mutual passion for Community Building & the importance of Civic Enlightenment for all ages.
WE's purpose was to offer programming throughout the city that transforms thoughts, actions, and communities.
For over 10 years, WE's mission has expanded immensely, with a positive impact that can be seen around the world.
Our Leadership
Robert O. Walls
President | CEO
Robert O. Walls retired from the Air Force after more than 20 years of service. He spent 17 years after retirement in public school central office positions in Markham, Illinois school district 144, East Chicago Heights school district 169, and Petersburg public schools in Petersburg, Virginia.
After leaving public school administration, Mr. Walls spent ten years as President and CEO of the Consortium Foundation. In that position he awarded more than $270,000 in scholarships to students in the Indianapolis area. He spent an additional $134,000 on Historically Black College and University summer camps while involving participants in workshops on public speaking, government policy development, college readiness, physical fitness, personal health, cultural enrichment, self-concept development, and community pride/appreciation. He is the driving force behind & co-founder of Winning Experiences Inc.
Robert studied for his undergrad degree in business at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), his masters degree in Urban Sociology at Governors State University, and completed course work (ABD) for the EDD at NOVA university, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a Virginia Cluster.
He believes learning to understand the specific expectations of a representative democracy, and the citizen’s role in preserving that system for future generations, is a Winning Experience.
Darrin Orr
Vice Chair | Deputy Director
Born & raised in Indy, Darrin L. Orr is a product of the public school system and graduate of DePauw University. Mr. Orr has represented several manufacturers of technology developing international relationships with product Engineers in Europe & Asia and helping Professional Audio Visual Dealerships throughout the Eastern Region grow their respective businesses for more than a decade.
In 2011, after traveling the world building relationships and managing business growth for major corporations, Mr. Orr returned to Indy to join his Dad in their 30-year family business.
Together, they are creating a Business Legacy at Master
Enterprises that merges Wholesale Material Supply with Workplace Wellness Product Solutions.
Darrin is excited about doing his part to positively impact neighborhoods & to help protect the wellness of residents.

Mekka Hatchett is a Board Member for Winning Experiences. She has been with WE for 10years. She has two daughters who are Alumni students; this organization means so much to her and her family, giving them so many Winning Experiences. She has worked as a Chaperone on Our Cultural trips, HBCU College trips, and worked concession stands to raise dollars for the organization. Her profession is Entrepreneur owner of Heavenly BBQ, as well as a caregiver for her mom.
